About Me: I'm pretty laid back, but fiercely loyal to myself & my loved ones. I'll try anything twice. I'm also known for making people miss work after a night out on the town. Now, how is that my fault? Put on your Big Boy Pants.
Music: I rock out with my...well, you get the idea.
Movies: I like the funny ones, the scary ones, the touching ones, the ones with touching. I also like the ones that make you dig your fingernails into the seat right before you shout, "HELL YEAH" & high-five someone.
TV: You name a show on Bravo, the Discovery Channel, HBO, or Showtime...I probably watch it. I also love me some CSI. And, sadly, most reality TV sucks me in like a blackhole.
    Books: Information whore.
Likes: Sports...any & all, especially football. Edna's Lunchboxes...all others are blatant forgeries. Live music. Doing things I shouldn't.
Dislikes: Clowns...get thee behind me, Satan. Stray hairs...*gag*. Frying things for no apparent reason. Blantant ignorance. Socialites.
Hobbies: Music, art, devouring information, & playing with Morgan the Wonder Pit.
Vices: I don't think I've ever said, "No shot for me."
    Virtues: Loyalty, laughter, & openmindedness.
Heroes: "Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or villify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas & see a work of art? Or sit in silence & hear a song that's never been written? Or gaze at a red planet & see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

    Thursday!

    Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 03:31 PM [General]

Thursday is gonna be action-packed.  First of all & most importantly, college football kicks off the season with Wake Forest @ Baylor.  Not one of the most exciting non-conference games goin' on this weekend but, hell, it's football & that's all that matters.

Also, tomorrow night, Henry Hudson's is giving the Tecate Jalapeno Eating Contest Finals a second go.  They were postponed last time because Mother Nature threw a hissy fit & knocked out the power.  No electricity, no booze, no crazy-hot peppers.  Thanks, be-otch.

So...to reiterate...the Henry Hudson's 5th Annual Tecate Jalapeno Eating Contest Finals @ 58th & Portland.  I'll be there from 8pm-10pm.  Come hanging out, drink $2 Tecate & Tecate Lite, & watch some Macho Nachos down jalapenos like they weren't raging-hot peppers.

After that, I'll be headin' over to Belle Isle Brewery for something downright amazing.  The Feds, from Dallas, will be taking the stage.  Most of you are probably not familiar with the Feds.  They're one of the best things that almost happened to rock.  Check out some tunes on their MySpace page: www.myspace.com/thefeds.  Tomorrow afternoon, Jay's gonna be pumpin' you up for the show with some brand new music from The Feds, so make sure & listen after 4pm (you can't miss it...it's after my three glorious hours on the air).  Along with The Feds, The Hellbounds &, March Bandness Finalist/OKC's own, Glister: www.myspace.com/glister.  All tomorrow night at Belle Isle...21+ to enter.

I'm drunk just thinking about it.

    Ozzfest 2008 KICKED!

    Monday, August 11, 2008, 12:01 PM [General]

I traveled to my hometown this weekend for Ozzfest 2008.  It was so badass.  Hot, yes.  But it could have been WAY worse.

The bands really brought their A Game.  Sharon was walking around taking in the Texas atmosphere & commented that they had made the right decision to bring the one-&-only show to Dallas.

Per usual with these festivals, people-watching was a must & Ozzfest didn't disappoint.  Lots of drunks, lots of hooker-boots, & way too many chicks in clothes that didn't fit them a.k.a. Fupa & the Muffin Top.  Sadly, I only saw one person puke...but minutes later, some dude, unknowingly, say in it.  WINNER!

I took some pictures for all of you that couldn't make the show.  They'll be up on the Buzz website ASAFP.

We've got Dave Matthews & NIN this week, so get ready, Buzzheads!

    Word.
